  Lovely former Roman Catholic parish Church. The Catholic community was established in 1894. A fire in 1898 destroyed the original woodframe building. The Church in its current location was built then dedicated August 1900. After the death of the parish priest, the Church closed, late 1970s. Thank God, through the dedication of the parish priest in Cottonwood, Holy Family is now a Mission Church, open daily as a place for quiet prayer. And, has Holy Mass offered once a month, every 3rd Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Also, as part of Jerome's centuries old history, current volunteers allow tours of the Church and surrounding grounds. Lastly, through the efforts of the volunteer caretaker, living on site June 2013 to September 2014, he initiated and completed work on a Memorial Brick Prayer Garden. Over one hundred inscribed bricks were donated in memory of Jerome's families affliated with Holy Family and the names of clergy, religious, and living or deceased loved ones. A bench was purchased and placed in the Prayer Garden, March 2015. This is a must visit Church in Jerome for its simple interior beauty, quiet solitude, and its historical treasures, which includes a pipe organ. Addendum. Though not affiliated in anyway with the current volunteers, I prayerfully support their efforts to restore the physical building and a comminity of Christians intent on making Jesus Christ known and loved through the Sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
